Today I visited a portfolio show, this is me in the Graphic Design Section. I spoke to a few students about their work and took some pictures of the pieces I found to be most interesting, or those that appeared to be the center of their section.
The first station I visited was of Robyn Williams and her sea-themed art and character set up. I enjoyed her work because she went above and beyond to create an underwater atmosphere, not to mention that her props were so realistic and engaging.
The next student I obsevered had created three images of legendary music artists constructed solely of letters. He used Ray Charles, Bob Marley, and Biggie Smalls( the image below) for these pieces of art. I was so fascinated by his work , persistance, and obvious dedication to these pieces because they appear to have taken a lot of time to complete. I also admire that he did three of the same style because that shows true consistency and precision.
The last station I visited was of the diverse art work of Miss Bedria. She had a lot of veratile images in her section including illustration, photography, creative imaging, and poster designs. The piece of work that stood out most to me was the illustration of the woman. It consists of neutrally bright tones and she used a good amounts of black and white in the image to highlight and shadow certain areas.
